Jason Rix

Jason has advised on a variety of commercial litigation topics including AI liability, conflict of laws, contract law, data protection, digital assets, group litigation, privilege and state immunity.

A while back now, Jason was seconded to BT. This experience still serves as a vivid reminder of what it is like in-house. 
 
He has participated in several working committees of the Financial Markets Law Committee covering a variety of topics: "Distributed Ledger Technology and Governing Law: Issues of Legal Uncertainty" (2018), "Response: Law Commission Call for Evidence on Digital Assets" (2021) and "Duties of Good Faith in Wholesale Financial Contracts" (2022), Private Law Issues and AI (ongoing). 
 
In 2016, he set up Compact Contract which has become A&O Shearman on contract law.
