Josh has wide-ranging asset finance expertise within the shipping, offshore, aviation, super yacht and rail markets, with a particular focus on the maritime industry.

He has experience advising a variety of industry participants, including lenders, export credit agencies, owners, managers and charterers, on a range of vessel acquisitions and disposals, sale and leaseback arrangements, debt financings, and a variety of general commercial, management and registration matters for a wide range of assets.

Representative matters

The project company on the procurement (both construction and chartering), sale and leaseback financing of a fleet of ice–class LNG carriers, encompassing advice on both the sale and leaseback charter based financings of certain vessels, the negotiation of the ship building contracts for a total of 21 Arc7 LNG carriers.  

A number of lenders and export credit agencies on the financing of numerous cruise ships for first class international operators, including the implementation of COVID-19 relief measures.  

Excelerate Energy on the terminal use, charter, port services, EPC and limited recourse financing arrangements in respect of two FSRU based floating regasification terminals in Bangladesh.  

APM Terminals on the financing of two container terminals in Europe and Africa.
