Kevin is Global Co-Head of Asset Finance and head of the firm's international shipping practice.

Kevin has extensive experience in the shipping, satellite, offshore marine, aviation and rail markets having acted for owners, sponsors, banks, financial institutions, export credit agencies, lessors, airlines, leasing companies and charterers across a wide range of deals in the transportation and space sectors including on financings, securitisations, private placements and other capital markets transactions, joint ventures (both investment platforms and the establishment of transportation lender platforms), ship and aircraft acquisitions and procurement arrangements, leasing and chartering arrangements, construction, chartering and procurement transactions, lease financings, restructurings and portfolio sales. He also acts for the Maersk McKinney Moller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping as part of a long-term contribution to decarbonising the maritime industry.

Kevin is ranked as a leading individual in the Legal 500 directory and is praised for praised for his “ability to lead complicated negotiations professionally, efficiently and amicably” (Legal 500).

  • Cerberus on the acquisition and financing of the acquisition of the North Sea portfolio of transportation loans from Hamburg Commercial Bank (previously HSH Nordbank) and the Big Ben portfolio of transportation loans acquired from Nord LB.
  • Telesat on its multi-billion dollar financing and other aspects of the Lightspeed LEO constellation.
  • Excelerate Energy on the terminal use, charter, port services, EPC and limited recourse financing arrangements in respect of two FSRU based floating regasification terminals in Bangladesh.
  • A number of project companies on the procurement, construction, financing and long-term chartering of fleets of LNG carriers.
  • APM Terminals on the financing of two container terminals in Europe and Africa.
