Neela specialises in knowledge management, client value and practice operations initiatives for the firm’s energy & infrastructure practice in Asia.

She analyses legal issues and developments relevant to the energy practice in Asia for internal use and for clients.

She combines her legal expertise and a deep understanding of the practice with her knowledge of technology to drive client-focused efficiency through legal tech adoption and process improvements.

Neela is a dual-qualified lawyer admitted in England & Wales and India.  She has over 20 years of legal experience. She was a transaction lawyer in the finance practice of a leading US law firm advising borrowers and lenders on cross-border and multi-jurisdictional financings with a particular focus on India and Indonesia. 

She served as director of client value operations for Asia in Shearman & Sterling. In addition to her finance practice, Neela has a diploma in international environmental law.
