Paul specialises in securities law and capital markets regulation. He advises clients on the full spectrum of debt and equity transactions, including securitization, structured products, covered bonds, IPOs, placements and buy backs of securities, exchange offers, listing applications and ongoing obligations deriving from such listings.
Paul further covers capital market related regulatory aspects, such as derivatives regulation. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in the credit and rate markets department at JP Morgan in London. Paul also advises Luxembourg insurers and intermediaries on insurance regulatory matters.
 
He regularly holds conferences on various capital market and regulatory topics in Luxembourg and abroad. Paul is a member of the Sustainability Committee of the Luxembourg Bankers' Association (ABBL). He is also a member of a number of working groups of the ABBL and a member of the group of experts of the association of Luxembourg insurers and reinsurers (the ACA), focusing on the application of EMIR to Luxembourg life insurance companies.

Banque Internationale à Luxembourg on the issuance of EUR300,000,000 1.500 per cent. Senior Non Preferred Notes due 2023, which is the first Luxembourg senior non preferred bond issuance.

Three leading specialist insurance companies on the establishment of their respective new European subsidiaries in Luxembourg following the UK’s decision to leave the European Union, and on follow-up labour law and regulatory matters with respect to their respective intra-group reorganisations, including. on outsourcing and insurance secrecy considerations (at the level of the Luxembourg entities and their branches).

CrossLend (a German fintech) on the issuance by CrossLend Securities, a Luxembourg regulated securitization vehicle, of notes backed by loan receivables originated through the German Creditshelf platform.

A group of financial institutions on the IPO of Shurgard Self Storage, the Luxembourg holding company of the Shurgard Self Storage group.
