Rob van der Hulle

Rob litigates and advises national and international clients on a wide range of environmental and other regulatory matters, including spatial planning, permitting, nitrogen, climate, solar, wind, circular economy, and the new Dutch Environment and Planning Act which entered into force on 1 January 2024 and provides for a complete revision of Dutch environmental and spatial planning laws.

Rob also has significant experience in corporate M&A and real estate transactions.

Rob joined the firm in September 2015, after working four years as a law clerk at the Dutch Council of State, the highest administrative judge in The Hague, the Netherlands. In addition to his legal practice, Rob completed a PhD on the role of courts in adjudicating politically sensitive cases and the American political question doctrine at the Radboud University in Nijmegen in 2020. He also serves as a research fellow at the Radboud University in Nijmegen and frequently publishes articles in legal journals on various topics, including comparative constitutional law with a particular focus on the United States Supreme Court.
