Sam's practice focuses on antitrust litigation, securities litigation, internal and government investigations, and complex business litigation. He has drafted motions, briefs, and pleadings at every level of the federal court system, and in multiple state courts, addressing a wide variety of legal issues and substantive areas of law.

Sam also maintains an active pro bono practice focusing on constitutional law. He represented a group of prominent history professors in support of a First Amendment challenge to the revocation of White House press passes. He also assists a university’s gun-violence prevention clinic in drafting briefs and pleadings in state and federal court.

Sam is a former federal law clerk to Judge Cynthia A. Bashant of the Southern District of California and Judge Henry B. Pitman of the Southern District of New York.

  • Represent major financial institutions and individuals in high profile investigations by numerous authorities relating to antitrust market manipulation, consumer protection, securities fraud, and other compliance issues.

  • Successfully defeat motion to dismiss First Amendment claims against the government alleging targeted revocation of White House press passes.
