Yannick has extensive experience in advising asset managers on the structuring, establishment and ongoing operation of Luxembourg funds such a limited partnerships and RAIFs, as well as CSSF supervised funds such as SIFs, SICARs, UCITS and Part II funds, including ELTIFs. 

Yannick’s experience spans across a variety of asset classes, such as private debt, real estate, infrastructure, private equity, venture capital or impact investments. He assists investment fund managers on their license applications and extensions as well as on cross-border regulatory issues. He advises institutional investors in respect of their investor due diligence on, and negotiations with, Luxembourg investment funds. Yannick also advises sponsors, funds and fund service providers on regulatory topics.

He is a member of the executive committee of the Luxembourg Private Equity Association (LPEA).

Representative matters

  • HPS on the set up of HPS Offshore Sustainability and Energy Transition Fund.
  • Partners Group with respect to their multi strategies fund platform focusing on private markets investments.
  • M&G on the launching of the Luxembourg Specialist Investment Fund, a Luxembourg pan-European debt fund in the form of an umbrella RAIF FCP.
  • The Riverside Company on the establishment of Riverside Europe Fund (REF) VII, a private equity fund focusing on SMEs in European Union, the United Kingdom, Norway and Switzerland and ongoing advice regarding the predecessor funds REF V and VI.
  • Optimum Asset Management on the establishment of a Luxembourg fund investing in real estate in the US and Europe as well as a joint venture with Blackstone to invest in and co-manage an EUR 800m German real estate portfolio.
  • Schelcher Infrastructure Debt Fund, a Luxembourg multi-compartment debt fund investing in infrastructure assets and structured as an ELTIF.
  • A large Swiss bank on their flagship open-ended fund of real estate funds structured as a Part II fund.

  • Advising Calvert Social Investment Foundation on its investment in several Luxembourg funds.
  • Advising Ocean Born Foundation in respect of the Ocean Born Impact fund.
