A&O Shearman organised its annual CEE Debt Finance Forum on October 9, 2024. Given the number of speakers and participants, this is the largest A&O Shearman conference in the region. Banking and finance specialists from our offices in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland, and from our relationship law firms in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine provided updates on the most important market and legal developments in their jurisdictions over the past year.

This year's conference is particularly significant as it marks the tenth anniversary of our flagship event in Central and Eastern Europe and is the first one under the A&O Shearman brand. This decade-long journey underscores our sustained dedication to offering a platform for industry experts to share insights and foster collaboration across Central and Eastern Europe.

In addition to our country updates from around the region, we explored challenges and opportunities in the nascent landscape of bank-private credit partnerships in the region and front-of-mind issues in CEE energy transition financings. We also took a closer look at emerging solutions in AI and legaltech, another area where A&O Shearman continues to stay at the forefront globally.

The event was attended by over 100 participants from Vienna, Bratislava and beyond.
