A&O Shearman has advised the coordinating banks on the establishment of a EUR6bn sustainability-linked syndicated loan granted to EDF, for a five-year term with two one-year extension options.

Its pricing is indexed on three sustainability performance indicators:

  • Direct greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Avoided CO2 emissions.
  • Women among executives of the Group.

The bank syndicate is made up of 36 banks. This credit replaces EDF’s existing syndicated credits of EUR4bn and EUR1.5bn, respectively.

The A&O Shearman team was composed of partner Julien Roux, counsel Tristan Jambu-Merlin and associate Reda Boujnini.
