Polish convenience store group IPO

A&O Shearman has advised a syndicate of underwriters led by Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan on the USD1.6 billion IPO of Polish convenience store operator Zabka Group on the Warsaw exchange. The IPO is Europe’s fourth largest this year and the largest in Poland since the Allegro IPO in 2020.

Established in 1998, Zabka is one of Poland's most recognizable brands with more than 10,500 stores operating under a franchise model.

The A&O Shearman deal team was led by U.S. ECM partner Jeff Hendrickson who said: “We are delighted to have supported our clients on this important IPO for the Polish market.”

Other members of the A&O Shearman deal team were senior U.S. associate Katrien Wilmots and U.S. associates Paridhi Srivastava, and Rose Whitlock, supported by U.K. ECM partner James Roe, all London, and Luxembourg partner Paul Peporte.
