Restructuring partner Paolo Manganelli joins the team in Italy

Paolo joins from Ashurst, where he led the restructuring and special situations practice in the Milan office. His extensive background includes a decade-long tenure as a partner at Paul Hastings. Prior to this, Paolo held in-house roles, notably as Deputy Head of Litigation at Parmalat in Extraordinary Administration further to the financial collapse of the group. In this capacity, he was responsible for overseeing all litigation matters stemming from the company’s insolvency and financial fraud. His role included advising on strategic decisions, providing legal counsel to the Extraordinary Commissioner, and coordinating with external legal teams both in Italy and abroad.

Paolo joins A&O Shearman with a team comprising senior associate Tommaso Paltrinieri, associate Giulia Longoni and trainee Giada Cristiano.
