Yorkshire Building Society launch Master Issuer securitisation programme

A&O Shearman has advised Yorkshire Building Society and Accord Mortgages Ltd. on the establishment and issuance of GBP350 million Series 2024-1 Class A Notes under the White Rose Master Issuer securitisation program, backed by UK residential mortgages.

A&O Shearman partner and UK co-head of global financial markets Sally Onions said: “This is only the second Master Issuer programme to be established in the UK. We expect to see more demand for this product because of the efficiencies and flexibility it offers when compared to standalone securitisation transactions for those seeking regular access to securitisation markets.”

Sally added: “Yorkshire Building Society is a long-standing client. We have worked on all their public securitisations and lead on their UK covered bond programme. Our work with them demonstrates the ability of A&O Shearman to bring together a multi-disciplinary team to provide expert advice on a range of issues.”

The A&O Shearman team in London was led by securitization partner Sally Onions, along with senior associate Graeme MacDonald and associate Sarty SenGupta. Tax advice was provided by partner Chris Harrison, senior associate Sorsha Taylor and associate Sadia Khan. Regulatory advice was provided by associate Laura Scully, and derivatives advice was provided by counsel Shanthi Maria Vignasen and associate Abigail True.
