Swiss Life transfers its German insurance business to Swiss Life Lebensversicherung SE

Swiss Life AG, German branch, transferred its entire insurance portfolio to the newly established group company Swiss Life Lebensversicherung SE, based in Garching near Munich, with effect of midnight on 31 August 2024. Swiss Life was supported in this venture by A&O Shearman. 

The reorganization, which has now been successfully concluded, was approved by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht; BaFin). The entire process ran smoothly and on schedule. It will have no impact on relations with customers, business or sales partners, service providers or employees.
