A&O Shearman represented J.F. Lehman & Company, a leading middle-market private equity firm, in the acquisition of Atomic Transport, LLC, and separately in the acquisition of Creekside by its portfolio company PURIS LLC.

Atomic Transport, a specialized waste services company, operates 30 terminals across 19 U.S. states. J.F. Lehman completed the acquisition of Atomic Transport in a partnership with the company’s management. The closing was announced on February 20 in a press release.

The purchase of Creekside represents PURIS' first strategic acquisition since J.F. Lehman led a recapitalization of The Woodlands, Texas-based company in 2024 via a single asset continuation fund. Creekside is an infrastructure and environmental services provider with customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Midwestern United States. The closing of the deal was announced on February 24 in a press release.

J.F. Lehman & Company, based in New York and Washington, D.C., focuses exclusively on investing in the aerospace, defense, maritime, government and environmental industries.
